March has been a good reading month!! Read 12 books in a variety of genres and the majority were good. I was heavy on Historical Fiction this month but they were fascinating!!

January 2016 is coming to an end and I read a lot of good books, 16! A variety of genres and the overwhelming majority I enjoyed and even read my first 5 star book of the year (I only ranked 3 books as 5 star in 2015 so to read one in January is amazing!!). P.S. Harlan Coben writes can’t put them down books and The Stranger doesn’t disappoint. With a can’t put it down book you need an easy to make and eat snack and Chex Mix is perfect!
Loved the All You Can Dream Buffet by Barbara O’Neal book!! Intrigued that it was about a group of food bloggers since I have this food blog. The heart of the story is friendship, courage, finding yourself & living a good life.
My Kitchen Year by Ruth Reichl is the perfect combination of story, amazing recipes, and gorgeous photographs!!!! The writing chronicles her journey after the demise of Gourmet magazine as she searched for herself and the next step in her life. The recipes correspond with what she was making and feeling and the seasons. The recipes sound AMAZING!!! My copy is studded with post it’s marking the recipes I want to try. The photographs, of her world and her food, enhance the book.

The Betty Crocker Cookbook is a classic go to cookbook that has been passed down generation to generation and Spritz Cookies are classic cookies from it. Buttery and delicious and yet so few basic ingredients to make a classic, requested cookie.
