What type of audiobooks do you enjoy? I find myself listening to books that I want to read or think I should read but for some reason I don’t feel like I have the time or patience to read them. Either they seem too long or the reviews have been split or I just haven’t got to them. This month I listened to The Last Tudor by Philippa Gregory and Into the Water by Paula Hawkins.
The French Girl by Lexie Elliott explores the bonds of friendship as friends are investigated for an event that took place 10 years ago. I could not put this down! I needed to know what had happened to the French girl and if Kate would survive the discovery.
Queen Of Hearts by Kimmery Martin is a story of strong women and friendship. It is a story that pulls you in and makes you feel like you are visiting with friends and I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Do you like surprises? Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella explores what happens in a marriage when there are surprises.
As Bright As Heaven by Susan Meissner is a historical novel that explores what it was like to grow up in an unusual environment. I was immediately drawn to it because I used to live near Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Plus I love a well-written historical fiction novel about events I’m not familiar with.
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah is one of those books that you can not put down. It is the story of women and love and loyalty and survival. It is a novel to be inhaled and then to take time and consider what you read.
Oh my!!! My head is still spinning after finishing The Girlfriend by Michelle Frances and I’ve reread the ending twice. It is the best type of read that plays with your mind and has you wondering what you would do in the main character’s place.
