The English Wife by Lauren Willig is a historical fiction novel that takes on how to survive and even thrive when constrained by society’s expectations.
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendrics is AMAZING!!! It is reminiscent of the Last Mrs Parrish by Liv Constantine but I liked it so much more as it was less predictable and kept me guessing.
I read the Little Beach Street Bakery series by Jenny Colgan backward- started with book 3 because it was a holiday book & I didn’t realize it was a series & then I went back to the beginning. This series was perfect to read over a long Holiday weekend – quick and pleasant.
Happy New Year!! Staring 2018 with a review of Carnegie’s Maid by Marie Benedict. This historical fiction book imagines what inspired Andrew Carnegie to become philanthropic. And since he was the “library guy” I have a soft spot in my heart for him.
Happy 2018!!! 2017 was a year for the memory books!!
