Loved the All You Can Dream Buffet by Barbara O’Neal book!! Intrigued that it was about a group of food bloggers since I have this food blog. The heart of the story is friendship, courage, finding yourself & living a good life.

Lavender is turning 85 and invites her friends & fellow food bloggers to come to her organic lavender farm to celebrate. The women have been friends for years but have never been in the same place at the same time. Ruby, a vegan food blogger, has a secret to share & is trying to figure out her next step after being brutally dumped by her long term boyfriend. Ginny, a cake blogger, has never been out of Kansas & yearns for an adventure while struggling to find the courage to take it. Valerie and her daughter are moving to the West Coast, trying to put a tragedy behind them and aren’t going to join the others as they are on there own journey. Noah, a veteran of Iraq & Afghanistan, adds a little maleness to the farm as he searches for his place in the world. Interspersed with blog posts, recipes, and emails you quickly care about the characters & are rooting for them!!
An enjoyable, quick read that I highly recommend!!
Interspersed in the book are a few recipes and I made the Super-Easy Streusel Cake. It was quick and easy to mix and the smell of cinnamon filled the house while it was baking. The cake was a nice one for minimal effort, Tom said it reminded him of a coffee cake and he ate it for breakfast. I’m not a huge cinnamon in my food fan and found it a bit overwhelming, will cut the amount in half next time I make it.
All in all a fun read and a nice, easy homemade snack or breakfast cake to add to your repertoire of from scratch cakes.
